This is a small part of the photo essay I put together for Buzz Rant & Rave, titled: The Concerts of August

August 7 :: Madison Square Garden

Deciding to get a ticket late in the game, I ended up in a great seat... for a hockey game. Good show, though the Garden is not an ideal place to see a concert....

setlist: The National Anthem / Morning Bell / My Iron Lung / Karma Police / Knives Out / Permanent Daylight / Climbing Up the Walls / No Surprises / Dollars & Cents / Packt Like Sardines / Fake Plastic Trees / I Might be Wrong / Follow Me Around / Pyramid Song / Paranoid Android / Idioteque / Everything in its Right Place // Lucky / Optimistic / You and Whose Army? / How to Disappear Completely // Talk Show Host / Street Spirit // Exit Music

Aug 16 :: Liberty State Park

This is a great place to see a concert. The stage is close to the river, and from the lawn you look out to the right of the stage and see the Statue of Liberty, on the left, the Manhattan skyline. Of course, it has some drawbacks-- there is no slope or anything, so it's hard to see the stage if you're not particularly tall, and it took forever to get on the ferry to get back to NYC. However, the set was rather good. The encore, which included True Love Waits and the Bends was, not surprisingly, the highlight. Sound was very good.

setlist: The National Anthem / Morning Bell / Airbag / Karma Police / Knives Out / Packt Like Sardines / Exit Music / My Iron Lung / No Surprises / Dollars and Cents / Street Spirit / I Might Be Wrong / Pyramid Song / Paranoid Android / Idioteque / Everything in its Right Place // Like Spinning Plates / Lucky / You and Whose Army / How to Disappear // True Love Waits / The Bends / The Tourist

Aug 17 :: Liberty State Park

I really meant to take more photos, but I forgot to charge the batteries for my camera, so I only got a couple off. Oh well. Highlights included my Iron Lung, Just, Climbing up the Walls, Talk Show Host and the Bends. Rock.
